I began my time at Loyola Marymount University studying Computer Science, which gave me an early foundation in logic, problem-solving, and thinking about how digital systems are built. After my first year, I decided to move toward design so I could spend more time developing the creative side of my work while still carrying over the technical mindset I gained from CS. Now, as a design student, I’m building a stronger understanding of visual communication, typography, interaction, and how thoughtful design decisions shape the way people experience information and technology. My coursework has given me space to experiment across both digital and traditional design while developing a more intentional process behind the work I create. • UI/UX Design — exploring user-centered design, interface systems, interaction patterns, prototyping, and how digital products can be made more intuitive and engaging. • Experimental Typography — pushing beyond conventional typographic rules to explore type as both a communication tool and a visual form through hierarchy, spacing, scale, composition, and experimentation. • Design Literacy — developing a stronger understanding of design history, visual culture, critique, and the ideas that influence how and why design takes the forms it does. • Technical + Creative Thinking — bringing the problem-solving mindset from my Computer Science background into my design process, especially when working with interactive, web-based, or computational projects. • Ongoing Exploration — continuing to experiment with branding, motion, web design, creative coding, generative visuals, and product design through both coursework and personal projects.
